Artificial Marble
Description of Final products

An artificial material primarily composed of acrylic or polyester resin, chemically combined with natural minerals, used as a substitute for marble with superior appearance and heat/water resistance.

Applications

Kitchen countertops, washbasins, bathtubs, flooring, tables, etc.

Manufacturing process

※This process is just one example, and the manufacturing methods vary by company.

Raw materials to be processed (acrylic resins, inorganic fillers, curing agents, etc.)
Kneading
The raw materials are kneaded under heating to induce a reaction.
課題

To prevent polymerization and curing inside the equipment, excessive temperature rise must be suppressed, and equipment control in accordance with the processing throughput is also required. In addition, in consideration of the efficiency of the downstream process, it is preferable to discharge the material in sheet form.

解決策

The twin-screw continuous kneader "KRC Kneader" enables temperature control while producing products in the specified shape, by the following mechanical characteristics.

KRCニーダ ジャケット加熱

Product temperature is controlled by a jacketed barrel.

KRCニーダ 回転数制御

Kneading intensity is adjustable through paddle configuration and rotation speed.

KRCニーダ 排出オプション

Selecting the discharge configuration option enables discharge in the specified product shape.

Storing
After cutting to the specified size, the material is conveyed and stored at a specified temperature for a specified period.
Molding
The material is formed by heat and pressure curing using a press molding machine or an extrusion molding process.
